Seems to me like the walker dog is gettin smaller and smaller And the ears aint ss long. Who else notices that? Who misses the old walkers. People say walkers are startin to look like beagles we need the old blood back

I too really like a long eared black headed Walker, but the rest of 'em on this thread sure look good to me.

Go scroll through that thread about John Monroe and the Finley River strain and you tell me if they looked any different back in the day. If anything I think they look better today. There's always been big ones and little ones, long ears and short ears, ugly dogs and real show champions but pretty really doesn't tree coon.

I knew what you meant I got carried away.LOL
but there really still are some strapping big walkers out there. You have that in all the breeds I see some blueticks that are real horses then I see a lot of real small slender blue dogs.

I don't know who those people are, but they need to look harder. I have a 63 lb. hunting shape female at my house with long silky ears to boot.

Hobo...come on!!

Hobo,

Those are some pretty AND BIG hounds. You would think they wouldn't be messing with a "rat" that size. That's not even a mouthful for them..........

Here you go. She is a romping stomping 38 LB. I don't like a big dog.

These are both 40 Lb male dogs. I like small, tight and full of fire!

I agree with Larry... I'm not sure who's looking or doing the saying. But I've got a 50 lb. long-eared 5 month old, in my kennel, out of a 60 lb. long legged female and a 70 lb. stocky male.

I'm not saying small Walkers aren't out there, but I sure wouldn't say they're prevalent.
