Multi purpose hounds

I have a 11 month old pup shes treeing coon at night and doin a pretty good job at it, and also squirrels during the day. Im just wondering if it will hurt anything if i hunt her on both. Ive never had a dog like that before im just curious.

That would be a good dog for around here, these coyotes are getting pretty bad and no one hunts them around me anymore. Only have the big deer hunters Anymore

I have all ways at least tried to hunt my hounds on both squirrel and coon , blue . some were great at it and never had a problem arise from it . and some just didn't like squirrel hunting that much and preferred coon .

When I was going strong. I ran my Plotts on Deer, Bear and Coon.

When I free cast them they went Coon hunting= When I put them on a Deer track they ran that Deer and same thing on a Bear track They never switched tracks.

They never ran a Deer or Bear while Coon hunting and never treed a Coon while Bear or Deer hunting.

I think dogs can't be free cast to hunt but one type of game;but;they can be trained to run most anything by putting on tracks.

PLOTTS FOREVER

here as well. I guess I better start hunting them cause doesnt seem like anybody else will. they are worriesome. Coming up close to the house. Got them on trail cam off and on up within 100 yards of the house. Have had them run across the yard from time to time as well.

I know what ya mean there... Last night of kill season my older female treed 300 yards out then got quiet then i heard growling, by the time i got close enough to see what was going on she ran to the truck and got in the dog box lol something whipped her pretty good not sure if it was a coyote though or not
