Studs

It's hard to say there are some nice stud dogs out there I would say there is a very good amount that through good accurate dogs the English has made me see good things about them that's why I don't hunt walkers any more

All of them have big mouths and are at least 95 percent even under the toughest of circumstances. Just take your pick.

radar

mainstreet radar,i hunted him for several year's and he is absolutely the most accurate dog I have ever been in the wood's with of any breed, not nocking any just stating fact's,in 3yrs I would say he had less than 10 slick tree's and he was hunted 7 day's a week

Thunder Kennels

I'll wager you ask 7 diff. stud owners and you would get 7 diff. answers. I do think the Thunder hounds have all been known to be accurate.....Thanks Larry

You may want to reword your question because people's opinion of accuracy very. From what I have seen what most people call 95 percent is usually a true 30 percent. I have one write now you can put her under extreme pressure and under any circumstances. What I am saying is she is as accurate if you lined 15 dogs beside her as she is by herself. She is off hoss. Been hunting 25 years and would like to see a dog that could truly do better than 70 percent in my area all year round in cast situations. When I took 5 if the most wanted final 4s to be in 2 ukc world hunts and 3 super stakes all the dogs averages were 39 percent. Now if you asked all those handlers there percentages how many would have said %40? Now I'm telling you if you go up north percentages are better. What I have found is ones that when you here true hounds men say they were much better than 70 percent they usually had a problem of not getting treed at all some nights.

Ch Grntch Rhoads Tri-County Slammer

I do agree with Larry Wilcox it depends on how many different owners you ask. But my personal opinion is Slammer, i have hunted with him alot and i have never walked to an empty tree or den tree. Now im not saying hes 100% accurate because that kind dont exist , however i am saying that i have walked to at least 30 trees and and have seen a coon in every tree. so thats how i have made this conclusion, and im hunting 2 young dogs off of him now and really like them alot. But i will say our english breed has alot to offer in the way of studs. Dino is another one that is flat out reproducing nice hounds as well i just havent spent as much time in the woods with him but the young ones off of him i really like what im seeing there too.

I would say you have a large field to choose from if you go by how the English dogs stack up in competition today. They are always the under dog in most events but seem to come out on top a lot so I would say take your pick not many breeders on here have an accuracy issue

Willard

Great point! Just some different styles but if you care about accuracy then english has plenty of accurate studs to choose from.
