Coon Squaller

Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on the best Squaller out there! I know everyone has a preference, but with so many different and new ones being introduced, what seems to work best for you?

Thank you.

If you would like to see a chatterbox in action, just let me know. Users send me videos weekly of coons jumping.

Also if you would like to hear a good story ask Jed Finley about the coon I squalled out of a den that landed on his noggin a couple weeks ago, lol

If nothing else, they can make the night interesting, but you better have a kill dog

This is the kind of information I'm looking for! I know everyone has their favorites and has stories to back them up. I'm not trying to start anything with anyone, just wanting to see what seems to work best for everyone, and maybe in what area of the country.

Josh, I'd love to see some video!

2 Lookin Down

The 2 lookin down is the best I have heard! My dad builds them here in southern Ohio and it is loud and will make coons look. People have reported having coon jump out of trees and come down and come out of dens! Good look good sound and LOUD!

.

Lots of folks brag on that "Two hanging down" squaller but I have never used one.

Or, is it "Two looking down", I forget.

I always wanted to change the name on that squaller, thanks for the opportunity.

flatlander coon squaller

I use a flatlander coon squaller. A buddy had one and used it while hunting one night after that I was sold. They are beautifully crafted and make the coons look.
I've also heard good things about shane Maxey banshee squaller. I would like to have one but have heard they are difficult to come by.

I personally can tell little difference in any of them. Ive had a bunch of them. Most will make a coon look. If hes skiddish. Most will make him bail out. Im not partial to none of them really. I just whatever I grab first.

I've owned 2 in my life that would make almost any coon look. When the reeds would ware out I would order a new one and they would have a different tune. I owned one that even in the winter if it was a smaller tree I would not bright light it first and all winter every single tree that had a coon would turn its head to it when I first blew it. I talked a many out of the tree. I know what your saying the rest have all just kinda been the same.

Lot of guys like custom squallers. Tuned to your specs, all the reed packs tuned the exact same way. Reeds go bad, switch out packs in 20 seconds and you are good to go

I squalled a coon out of a den tree with a squaller I got from Bruce Conkey. Coon came out looking for a fight. The look on its face when it realized I had my spot on it was one of ole crap.lol
