1st Annual North and South shoot out!!!!

Since the fellas up North and the good ole boys down South can't get along or can't decided who has the best coondawgs I say we get together ONCE a year for bragging rights, find a area half way between that is agreed on and settle it out........ukc rules,2 nite hunt, with a hunt off to settle it all!!!!!!!!!Where would be a good place and time of year and who would show???? oh 4 dog cast with 2 from each side on cast!

Yah know, that is a hunt that could actually happen, probably with UKC sanction, if the right clubs got behind it.
The only thing you might want to change is taking two from each side....I think you would have to take the top 4 no matter where they came from if you want UKC behind it. And if it isn't UKC sanctioned, nobody will bother.
Maybe make it a Super Slam event to help the owners pay their expenses.
Interesting idea for sure.

I was meaning to say each cast has 2 Souths and 2 North dogs starting the hunt, the final 4 is whatever falls in there

tennesse and make this hunt a double cast win, this hunt should not be about who can win with 1850 plus points it should be about consistency and which hounds bring it to the table every single night and can consitently beat the dogs that they draw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COUNT ME IN !!!!!!!!!

The UKC Civil Wars. I like the idea. You could rotate the locations each year. Say 1 year in Ohio then 1 year in Va. That would be pretty cool but it would take some cooperation between clubs. Or have a southern qualifier and a nothern qualifier. Take the top 10 or 20 from each and battle it out.

Building STEAM!!!

Ok I need some help with idea's so far I been thinking of and with help from others is.........

#1 title- North and South Shootout
#2 rules-UKC RULES,2 nite hunt, double cast wins to win it,no classification on dogs ALL dogs hunt together,a Slam event(money paid to Top 3),ALL non hunting judges, dogs can't hunt with same guide twice......anymore ideas on this please respond

#3 1 dog will be declared the Champion with only one trophy 2nd and 3rd place just get money and a pat on the back and a good luck next year.

#4 we need a place that's considered middle ways a neutral zone.So far its eastern KY,Tennessee and Maryland I will poll these 3 but if you can think of somewhere else leave a post.

This is how ideas start so serious inquiries only please!!!Looking to put together a group to bring this to life.

That sounds like a good idea. I know I am from Missouri but the Show Me State would be a good place also. You can get into about any kind of hunting you want with in a few miles somewhere. Might run this past UKC and see if they would be behind it or not. That would make a lot of difference to some people. I'd be interested if it were not half way cross the country.

BIG HUNTS ARE ALL EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI

WHY NOT HAVE THE HUNT OUT HERE WHERE A DOG HAS TO BE A COON DOG TO TREE A COON. ONLY BIG HUNT WE GOT IS BATTLE OF THE BREEDS AND THATS ABOUT 8 HOURS FROM HERE. NOT SAYING DOGS FROM OUT EAST CANT TREE A COON BUT OUT HERE A DOG MUST BE A GOOD TRACK DOG. WE HAVE NOTHING BUT CORN FIELDS HERE FOR MILES AND MILES AND MILES. IF YOU GUYS WANT TO BRING IT TO A NUETRAL SITE BRING IT TO NEBRASKA OR KANSAS. IF YOUD LIKE TO BRING THIS TO REALITY AT A NUETRAL SITE GIVE ME A CALL. IM SURE OUR CLUB WOULD GET BEHIND IT.
