Hit Man has passed away today at 13 1/5 yrs old. Even though we had expected it for a while it is still hard to believe. He had been the dog that I had used as my measuring stick for a lot of years as to how a dog should handle. He was a pleasure to hunt and great to show. He was especially great for young kids who were getting into showing because he loved kids and would always perform his best for them right up til the end. The highlight of his career was when my dad showed him at Autumn Oaks in 2010 as a 9 yr old dog and it was also my dad's first time showing a dog at Autumn Oaks and they went on to win NGRCH B&T and opposite sex overall show. Rest in peace old buddy you will be missed.

Sorry for your loss,I know how hard it is to loss one lately,,I've loss 3 in the last year,all between 13 and 15 years old,,I knew it was coming,but still very hard,they were like my kids to me,had them all from birth,,,again,sorry for your loss.

Why dogs die so young is one of the mysteries of Gods perfect plan. Still I have to wonder, What was HE thinking? Praise GOD. The pain of losing a dog is the price of we pay for the love shared with the dog.
