Good Luck
If he is old your chances of saving him are slim. The sperm has to be really good and strong because the viability after its frozen drops a lot. So if a dog had 100% when frozen it may only have half that when used. Plus as the dogs age they get more deformities in the sperm and makes it harder. Its best to breed and save young dogs, just like people, less chances of having defects come out in the offspring. I hope for the best for you its always hard to see a nice one go.
