how is the hunting around Batesville Mississippi. this time of year?

Are the coon still moving good? Does the rut effect movement like in the northern states?

Yes the hunting is just getting good here . Last two year I've hunted rolling farm land inside of 15 min for civic center and had great hunts , the coons start rutting here anywhere from mid January till end of February . Lots of acorns on the ground but there about cleaned up and coons starting to move good .good luck
