As I sit here this morning and reach out to Family and Friends across this great land of ours, it reminds me why Coon Hunting is so special to me. It is special because the people I am reaching out to besides family, are Coonhunters!! The brightest response I received this morning is from a Young man I met over a year ago through Steve Yant and was able to take him hunting when we was battling cancer. Even through the battle continues his improvement is nothing but a amazing. When I met his family a year ago they were so positive and full of faith while facing a harsh reality, it simply floored me. As I reach out today to those Coon Hunting has allowed me to know, I am finding all of you at different places in your life. Many are Blessed with Family and Friends sharing the joy and meaning of Christmas. Like life also lays on us, many are not in such a Happy place. Some have recently lost a Family Member, many are not in the relationship they want to be in and many don't have the ability to share gifts with their Children, as they would like.
No matter where you are today we are all one step from being in the same place tomorrow. I ask that we all Pray for each other and lift one another up on this Wonderful Day. If your one that doesn't feel this day is a bright as it should be, I encourage you to do something about it. Take the first step in making things right with loved ones, find joy in the smile on your children's faces and hold back and ill words that may erase those smiles. Call your hunting buddy and see how they are doing and see if they need anything.
Coon Hunting has been wonderful to me and the reason is because of YOU!! God Bless!!

I just explained to my kids last night, there may be some that get more....but a whole that get less. Remember to be thankful for what you received and for the true meaning of Christmas. Thanks Bruce, I look forward to shaking your hand hopefully some day.
