Hello,
I can tell you this for a fact, if you live in or around Stanly County, you live in some of the most prime coon hunting in the state.
I use to hunt down there about 20 or so years ago but all my hunting spots have long been built on, sold, or land owners have died out.
I live near Asheville NC so it was about a 3.5hr drive for me to hunt down there but worth every mile of it.
I use to hunt hunt in Aquadale, Stanfield, and Frog Pond.
If you know of anywhere to hunt, I would love to come down and go with you some time.
My company has a sister plant there on Bethany Rd, off 52 in Albemarle, that was how I made friends down there to get spots to hunt many years ago.
I have hunted for many years, but Stanly County holds the record for the most coons I have ever treed in one night.
