Redwood Oak x Bacon Creek Mandy Cross

Anyone else have any of these pups? I've got a female from this cross that's outstanding! She's treeing coons by herself and going as deep as it takes to get it done. She's independent too. Loves to go tree her own coon. Been split about as many times as she's treed with other dogs. Hard to believe she's only 13 months old.

I love to hear those success stories about a young dog coming on strong!

I get more enjoyment watching a young dog turn it on than anything else.

What does the Bacon Creek ped look like? I have a Bacon Creek female (out of Libby) and now a male pup out of her.

P.S. There is nice Bacon Creek pup for sale on the other board, ready to start this fall - 4 months old.

Good luck with your pup, Jason, sounds like a keeper for sure!

Hey Jason, glad to hear that your pup is doing well. There wasn't but 4 pups in that litter. One in New York that I have heard some great things about ,mine is treeing and doing well just haven't hunted her as much as I should have, and the other one hasn't been hunted as about a month ago. I had a lot of faith that this cross would do well.Johnny's Oak dog is a tremendous reproducer and Mandy was a complete NATURAL. My Bridger has been throwing outstanding pups out of different strains and Mandy's mother is a top bitch. I felt like the cross would be a success. Thanks for your input on here . All a breeder can ask for is that his pups go to someone that will hunt them. Keep in touch. God Bless you and yours.

Frank, Good to hear those pups are turning out for you. You guy's been hunting a lot down in Kentucky? I've got to hunt several nights the last couple months and since it cooled off been hunting Oak some to keep him in shape. He will be 11 in April and still not much reverse!

This pup is really coming on good!! Every night I hunt her she seems to do more and more. She's extremely independent almost to a fault (but I like that) and has no reverse. If you turn her loose, you go get her. She's slow on bad feed tracks but shes learning. Im hoping by the end of this season she will be ready to campaign some.
Frank, if the guy that has the litter mate isn't going to hunt that pup give me a call.

Bacon Creek Plotts

Well I have two bacon creek dogs each males a litter apart.haven't been off the chain in 4 months. Went deaf in one ear . Went out opening night with grandpa and still treed a coon with the older dog and the pup went out growled by my feet and ran his own track. To say Im happy well heck yeah im happy. I just need to hunt them alone for awhile.
