NEW Boss Magnum Single LED Cap Light!! $200

I would like to introduce our NEW BOSS MAGNUM SINGLE LED LIGHT.
$200
The light is a 12v cap light and comes on the black bump cap and also on the soft cap with liner. At the present time until we get caught up (expected time a couple weeks) we are only offering the light on the black bump cap.
It has exceptional brightness and compares to any light being sold.
The light looks exactly like our other cap lights with the exception of it being a single LED.
Burn times are
1 click week plus
2 click 72 plus hours
3 click 48 plus hours
4 click 24 plus hours
5 click High 4 hours (best in the business)

Before we get into all this which light is brighter stuff I would like to say. This is one exceptional bright light but is not a thin pencil beam. It gives off enough light to safely get you around the woods and also on high will spot any coon in any tree.
Like we have done for the past 3 or 4 years. If you purchase this light and feel it just doesn't work for you. Return it in new condition and we will be glad to give you a full refund.
Same warranty as our other cap lights and is assembled in Good Ole USA, KY.

Curs your question is a good one.

The best analogy I can think of is to compare the LED lights to a shotgun.
We know not all shotguns shoot the same. Just set up a target, try different chokes, different size shot and different powder weight and you get different results.

The lights are the same. The powder weight can be thought of as the current driving the light.
The shot size can be compared to the number and design of the LED's
The Choke can be compared to the Reflector size and shape.

Take bird shot and depending on the choke of the gun you get more or less shot in a given area at a given range. Get shot at 200 yards with bird shot and it just stings. Shine some of these lights two hundred yards and there is light but it just scatters and you can't make out what your looking at.

So just like the number of shot in a shell doesn't determine the final outcome without taking into consideration the choke, barrel length and powder charge. The number of LED's doesn't completely determine the final beam of the light. It is how those LED's are designed and housed in the reflector (cone length and angle) and the current they are driven with.

Mr. Pritchard this is one of the hardest questions I have been asked as I cannot accurately answer the LUX question. First I will discuss Lumens. The LED's we use are given a lumen rating from the factory when driven at a specific current plus or minus. That number we don't share for several reasons. One is we can tweak the current up or down and that changes the number. Since we have been building LED lights the technology and quality of the LED's constantly change.
We made the commitment to use top quality LED's even if it cost us more and don't publicly state what they are. I can tell you this, in six months or less they will probably be different and hopefully better.
Now the LUX part or your question. I can use my LUX meter to compare light A to light B and yes it is giving me a number, but I don't feel it's accurate for anything but a comparison. If I had a lab and 20 grand in test equipment then I would be comfortable giving out numbers. You see other very competent and knowledge men on here questioning the LUX stated by some light companies. They are correct in doing this as I have also tested those lights and get numbers that are about half of whats advertised. Could it be my equipment and test method, most certainly. That's why I don't get caught up in the LUX number game. I know not having numbers to compare may not help a customer decide on which light to buy. That is why when we sell a light the customer has thirty days to decide if we were accurate in our description of the light and it is of the quality we advertise it to be.
The Boss Magnum for $200 should not be overlooked by anyone. It is extremely bright.

Tell Liz Thanks also.
Top that off I had a good friend borrowed my old plug cause his came in heat and he already had travel plans to GA last night. He didn't make the final four but did win her cast.

I'm trying to decide between this light and the Boss " cats eye" cap light. I like the red LED on the cats eye. Can you try to compare them for me? As far as brightness and and how the cats eye scatters as you talked about this light not doing.

Well I am in the same boat you are.
I personally love the Triple Threat.
Several reasons. The green for walking with the bugs are out and the red for finding the coon along with a white light that may not be the brightest out there but is a large beam in in the top 5 as far as brightness goes. Compliment this light with the Boss Flame Spotlight and you have the best combination going. If I am going to a comp hunt the Triple Threat will be there with me.

Now the Magnum. Guess it is a guy thing about bigger and better except with lights it is brighter is better which isn't really true in either case.

You do not need the brightness of the MAGNUM but we built it for two reasons. The guy thing (brightness) and we can eliminate the colored LED's and wiring and bring everyone a top shelf light for $200. To me that means a lot because we are here to help the coonhunter and night time outdoors person out. By getting better and better products at a fair price in the market place.
If you good about keeping up with pop covers then the Magnum will work fine for you.
So I know I probably didn't help much but any questions just give me a call at 904-692-1568 9-5 and I will help you figure it out. I will be out periodically then next couple days but they will get a message to me and I will call you asap.
