Who in ohio stocks both lights so a guy can see which 1 he wants to get ... Thanks

I have both. Very little difference in the brightness. 3d maybe a hair brighter but very close. 3d has 2 colors you can turn up with the click switch & HD has 1 color with 2 clicks of power. Color on 3d is more of a spot & HD color more a flood. Biggest difference to me is in the colors & both lights are very good. I usually hunt 2 nights then charge just because I feel no need to run a light dead and be left in the dark.

I don't think you're able to run the 3d completely dead. I think its set up to where it will still be able to give off enough light to get you out of the woods.
But I agree I don't like walking out of the woods with no light.
