Paper Scorecards ????

I got a question and hopefully someone from UKC will respond .
I know i cant be the only person who has thought of this but why cant UKC have our scorecards printed on another material besides paper ? Here in Missouri our hunting license/deer tags, etc are made out of a waterproof tearproof material. Seems like every cast the card just falls apart ( esp it the areas where its folded ) . If its misting or just a heavy dew, and esp in the summer time when hands and clothes get wet and sweaty they just tear apart when u take them in and out of your pockets . Im sure it all boils down to printing costs ...??????

When it's wet we usually send a blank card for the cast to carry in the woods.

If they did that. Then there would be a price increase somewhere to cover that. The best solution is the ask the master of hounds for an extra score card. And transfer the results to the original score card after the hunt is over.

If it seems that most of the hunts you go to run out of score cards. Then you can buy some hard printing paper from walmart and print them off the website for yourself. Hope this helps and good luck in the hunts.

New Scorecards

The new scorecards that UKC came out with when they made their change does not stay together,it folds in two places, and it almost always is falling apart in the creases. We also are in MO and get a lot of complaints from judges that the cards just come apart. All you have to do is fold & unfold a couple of times and they start coming apart in the folded areas. ( UKC needs to look in to this for the CLUBS!)

Yes it does come down to printing costs. But appreciate the feedback from everyone if the new scorecard is not working out.

i suppose thats a good idea to take an extra scorecard. but i can tell u one thang the last hunt i won i barely made it back by deadline with 2 min to spare ( sliding in sideways dukes of hazard style ) and there was no way i cud have had time to copy another card, have rest of cast review it was correct and get it signed.

Todd - thanks for the reply .

I remember a really bad night many years ago. I had to use a Pay Day candy bar wrapper with an ink pen to keep score in a down pour.lol
