Tri-tronics Classic g3 ??

Put brand new battery in my handheld receiver and when on the charger its a slow blinking red light and isn't holding a charge. I replaced my last battery because of the same thing. Is it my charger? Receiver? Anyone else have this issue. That's guys I appreciate any help
