Anyone hunt the Black hills?

Wondering how much vegetation there is on the ground and how dry it is on the Wyoming side? Is there much water? Cactus?

I was just up in Sturgis for the bike rally and was camping in Nemo. I asked around about bears, but nobody south of Sturgis knew anything about bears or coons. Somebody told me they had some lion sightings, but they didn't know any locals running hounds. I'd be down to come up there and try some with you this winter. I've got a 3 year old Cameron and a young black and tan out of Uglystick. Will be hunting in the colorado state championship this weekend with the black dog.
