Performance Point Standings

I have a suggestion for UKC. Now that there have been some leadership changes, maybe y'all can get this done. Why don't y'all post the Performance Point Standings here on the interweb and keep them updated on a weekly basis. By the time that the magazine comes out, they are always way behind. I would like to keep up with what everyone is winning. I don't have a dog good enough to run this race with so I would love to "watch" everyone else race. Y'all could post a disclaimer saying that they are "unofficial" standings subject to review.

Posted just the way it is in the book would be nice . I have been told 2 nd of the month is cut off date for anything being in book for next month , so book listing can be as much as 2 months behind on perf pts . This would be nice to look up and check were we are at , especially at the end of the year , we have to wait until feb- to see were we ended up .

I would like that to be on the web also. The other kc has their state race update pretty quick. Something to think about.

So ukc what do u think? Is this something that could be done , both Pkc and akc has this at our finger tips with a lot more info than we are asking for from you. In the end I can see it helping both of us. If you can see your behind , you will go to more hunts and create more interest in the program .

I think this could also help in the ukc office on phone traffic , which I have noticed several complaining about being on hold too long. How many calls a day are for how many perf pts does my dog have? Listed on here eliminates these calls .

I've always liked the idea of some performance rankings. Allen and I have discussed it quite a bit. As far as getting this up on the website? Yeah, we are working towards getting everything on the website. Just don't pin me down on a date!

Oh and as for how many calls does Performance Points generate? I would guess about 1 / 100th of the calls wanting to know Championship Points. When we get Championship Points look-ups on-line you are going to see some happy people in Kalamazoo.

I thought that you could already do that on the registration forum?

U can under pts check . They are very good at responding back by email , I usually here back by the end of the day . I think if you are running in a race such as the perf pt , we should be more updated than the way it is .

It is not just the ones running in the race but all of the spectators that want to "watch" the race. That is where the "interest" comes from. And a lot more people will want to run in the race if they know that there are a lot of spectators watching.
