I personally haven't seen the Conkey's vest, but the Dan's and the Nite Lite are made completely out of the brush tough fabric and you have to order one by size. The Brite Eyes is made out of mesh and is adjustable. You can wear it and stay cool in the summer, or adjust it and throw it over a coat in the winter time. I wouldn't trade it for a different one on the market today.

It also has equipment specific pockets ie: Garmin and Garmin long range antenna, Tri-Tronics receiver, marine radio, cell phone, water bottle, Tracker receiver, a sleeve for belt light, a larger pouch for ammo and anything else, and you can get a detachable game pouch for them.

Conkey's vest is made out of mesh and is adjustable, you can get other colors, and they moved the TT pocket out of your face. You can order it with less pockets if you want, but it comes with more pockets then some. You can also get a game bag for the back. Conkey's vest being the newest on the market it may not get as many votes just because not as many has seen it. Bruce Conkey is also a Dan's dealer and will sell you which ever vest you want Dan's or his mesh one.

I like the vest think their pretty neat. Just can't justify spending 65 bucks for a bunch pockets specially when you can get a whole coat for 45 50 55. But like i said their neat.

I understand what you are saying Jason, but the problem with a coat is that it is always a coat, and you can't wear it in the summer time. A mesh vest can be wore year round. I used the Nite Lite vest for a couple of months (it isn't mesh, similar in style to Dan's), and I threw it away like everything else that I have owned that said Nite Lite on it because it still got too warm during the hot, humid summer months.

That's true but even in summer months i wear a flannel or blue jean long sleeve shirt. I'll take the sweating over itch weed or poison ivy or oak, skeeter bites up down my arms and i always have good pair leather clothes on. I have worn my dan's jacket but like you said it's a jacket and it get's hot. I seen similar vest at bass pro or cabelas made for bird hunters around 30 bucks. I'm sure they wouldn't hold up as well. Just seems pretty high for a bunch of pockets. I may stop being a tight wad one these days and spend some of my moldy money on one.

Believe it or not, but I've owned one of all of them. So far all of them except one has had the same "issue" that I didn't care for.

On all of them the battery belt is held by velcro, with the exception of the Conkey vest. Over time, the velcro becomes weak and the battery starts to "sag".

They are all good vests, but Bruce's gets my vote based on how the battery attaches to the vest.

I agree about the battery back, but in the picture posted, they have plastic clips, and to be honest with you, the vest I bought when they first came out looks nothing like that one. It is missing several pockets that mine has, but I still wear a belt with my battery pack because it never worked very well on the vest, which it looks like they have fixed.

VEST......

I wish someone would make a vest without the straps for a belt light, and would add a pouch for a cordless spot light. Just for the ones that use a Cap Light....

I HAVE A DANS. FOR THE MOST PART I LIKE IT. TWO THINGS THAT I DO NOT LIKE IS IT IS TO HOTT IN THE WARMER MONTHS OF IF YOU GET SWEATING. SECOND THE CLIPS FOR THE BELT LIGHTS ARE NO GOOD. THESE ARE THE PLASTIC CLIPS, THEY ALWAYS WORK LOOSE AND ALLOW THE BATTERY PACK TO START HANGING LOWER ( LOOSE ). I THINK BUCKLES WOULD WORK BETTER. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS BEFORE I WOULD HAVE LOOKED AT OTHER VESTS.

BUT DO NOT GET ME WRONG I HAVE OTHER DANS EQUIPMENT AND HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. AND I WOULD ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN.

I have a similar vest to that one Tyler posted above that Conkey sells.Pockets are perfect and it's not hot.Only thing I don't like about it is the high back.If they would lower the back they would have a perfect vest.Ive had mine 2 years and looking for a new one.

I agree with Jackson87 about the back on the Conkeys vest. But other than that I'm happy with mine.
