Well if it's true, I hope it comes out before the Marshall GPS that was coming out before the AO. That was a few years ago. LOL!

.

One thing I can say is Garmin is always improving and coming out with new versions of their products.
Just look at the DC 50 and what drove it to the market place. That is you the coonhunter. They took a lot of suggestions from everyone how they could improve upon their DC 20, 30 and 40 collars. They combined all that information and came out with the DC 50.
I think if we made a list of what improvements or needs the hunters want from their Astros and ALPHAS Garmin would already be working on some and soon will start on the others based upon their history.
I am also just going on history here but they generally come out with new products in early spring and late summer (for AO HUNT). For example the new PRO SERIES of e-collars that are hitting the market place now (and they are nice). Can't wait to see to see what they are coming out with in the FALL and also next year and the year after. I know wondering minds will keep asking what is next and there will always be a rumor. I think the correct answer is if we as hunters need it and it can be done, then in the late spring or early summer of years to come we will see it.
