Mason passed away on August 18,2010 from injuries sustained in a traffic crash, Mason was only 19 years old. Since that time the Ashland County Coon hunters club sponsored the Mason Volkmer Scholarship.

Tuesday Night we awarded another 1500 and a 500 dollar scholarship to two graduating seniors. Because of your help we have awarded over 5,000 in scholarships in the last 3 years.
