I agree
I've drove some very long drives to see a lot of things in night hunts. My best hunts have been with good folks who called their dogs were respectable, and didn't care if they had a room full of trophies or if they had won a years worth of money. They were just like me, they like to hunt. As far as my most memorable hunts I'd have to say me and my grandpa Bedford are high on the list. Along with my nights with Herb, Paul, Sam, Rex, Jarrod, Richard, Dale, and a whole list of folks I've drawn out with from AR to Wisconsin,Indiana, TN, and Texas etc. I've had fun.
I've also had some folks who have walked all the way across the grounds to tell me "I sure wish I had drawn out with you" but it wasn't to see my dog it was to challenge me. I've watched some come in when it was hot and dry and it took a real dog to tree a coon, with nothing. I have minused out, had my dogs look like idiots, I've made bad calls, been down right cheated. But that's all part of it. I just hope to someday have a perfect dog that has no faults and that pleases everyone. I'd also like to be left alone by a certain group of folks who seem to lay in wait on this forum to attack me for no reason. I hope that all the nice folks I've met thru the years at hunts think of me different than some on this forum do. I hope to make some more hunts and make some more friends.
