Getting a pup to tree?

I have a 11 month old pup that is a very track minded pup. She will run track and finish it but she acts like she don't know what to do when they finish the track. The last few times I have had her out she will run track and when I get to the tree the other dogs are hammering treed and she is still milling around trying to figure out where it went. She has only seen 1 caged coon in her life and I didn't turn it loose for her to run I just released it in my hunting spot. She has had 1 coon shot out to her and that was a few months ago before taking season went out. Anyone have any tips or tricks I can try to get this pup treeing. She has got the track part down and does a good job at finishing a track. But when it goes up she is trying to find it when the other dogs are treeing she will not leave. But every tree I have been to with her she is milling around still looking for the track. The last 3 trees I have been to they have had the meat. I have tried, leading her to the tree and petting her and she wouldn't bark. I tried tying her back and she wouldn't bark. Every time I let her go at a tree she goes right back to looking for the track. I just don't know what else to try thanks for any help.

maybe this

run her a few times with one good dog.four or five dogs all around the tree jumping around and she may not want to get on it.some people say this is not a good idea but it worked for me one time on a three year old that had not ben hunted.we took a cage coon in daylight to a tree in the middle of a field set the cage by the tree so the coon gets focused on where he would like to go.we did not let the dog get fired up on the cage becuase we wanted the coon to be calm and run to the tree.we pulled the cage back ten or yards and held the dog back about thirty yards and of to the side so when the coon left the cage the dog was sure to see it.we opened the cage and backed away the coon read the script and ran over to the tree.when he got close enough that he was going up the tree no matter what we let the dog go.she hit the tree and she could see him and she was smelling where he went up.after this we turn cage coons lose and walked her across the track a few times.she would check around the trees for a minute or two and then start smelling up the tree.she was by herself so she had plenty of time to work it out.this was the last effort to get this dog on the tree and it worked this time.

She is doing great expect for at the tree. She knows how to run track and does good at finishing a track. Her problem lays in treeing when it goes up she will bark a little on the tree before you get there. Then when I start going in I see her milling around just working and reworking the track like she is trying to figure out where it went. I have never had this problem before as every dog I have trained has always treed before the started running track.

In Kentucky you can train year round but taking season is from OCT-Feb so our season is out now. That's going to make even harder to get her treeing I'm sure. I haven't messed with her much on tree or with a drag or anything. I have just been taking her with my other dog and she has figured it out on her own. I think she is going to be a dandy dog if I can just get her to tree...She has even hit a few tracks on her own and my other dog has fell in with her and eventually treed it. But so far she hasn't figured out that coons go up trees.

If she's in English

I'll buy her cheap,,,,,I happen to like the ones whom are track first. They usually are very accurate. You may need to play with the coon hide a bit ( not too much) and one turn out or until she makes the tree (then stop that nonsense). Next just keep hunting her alone. Hunting her with other dogs will not help her.
Note: to everyone whom reads this. Normally I keep this to myself.

Thanks for the info. LOL...She isn't for sale, believe I'll keep working with her. She is out of Last years ACHA world champ and has House's Lipper, world champ Insane Jane, Insane Cain and Trackman in her pedigree. So It's in her I just got to get it to come out. We treed one tonight and they had the meat. She did the same thing, barked a few times on tree then as we started to them she kept milling around. I tied her back loved her up and my other dog. I thought she was going to bark a few times but she never did. Dropped her the second time by herself and she ran track for about 300 yards and kept circling on the garmin trying to figure it out. So I'd say she put it up and didn't know what to do. Because she circled the same area for about 30 minutes then came back. I think she is going to make a good one if I can just get her to figure out they go up the tree.

I train a lot of pups and seen this before, what has worked for me is to take a cage coon and put the cage on the side of the tree. Get her fired up then let the coon go u so she puts together the coon goes up the tree. It helps to dump water on the coo n because she is track minded she will still try to track it. Make sure you don't set the trap on the ground you don't want any scent on anything but the tree. Like stated above hunt her with just one other dog and try to use the dog that just stands still and trees. A soft mouth tree dog helps a lot as well, less overwhelming. Try to stay close and when she trees get to her asap tie other dog close to tree but let her have the tree and pet her up real good. Then hunt her alone. Good luck.

Yeah man, She is direct off of Trick Magic and Insane GI Jane. She was 6 months old when I got her and hadn't been off the chain. She is 11 months old today and is giving them old coons a tuff row to hoe. I showed her one caged coon and she went from going with the other dogs and that's it, to running track and putting them up. But not knowing what to do when she puts them up. I really think she is going to be a tuff one. Most of the time you cut the dogs and she gets by herself and will finish a track for sure. I'm just having a little issue at the tree. I haven't messed with her much on treeing because I didn't want to turn her into a slick treeing idiot. But now I'm afraid if I don't get her lined out at the tree she is going to start running the track backwards and I SURE don't want that. Every time they have put one up she will just keep cutting circles trying to figure out where it went. She will end up back at the tree and then start milling around trying to pickup the track again.
