Many pups will run a track & open on it before they will tree ... having tracking ability is more important than a pup that just makes trees , sounds like she's off to the right start . The treeing will come with time & sometimes require some encouraging on your part .

I have hunted for a while but this is the first dog ive owned and i just don't want to do anything to mess her up. i just want to do everything for the best for her! shes turning out real nice and she is surprising me every time we go. shes got good blood in her too.

Another thing.Some dogs won't fool with a hole in the ground.Id rather a dog not because majority of holes round here is where possums live.Most coons go up trees.At 7 months old it will be awhile before the dog has the confidence to trust herself.The more you hunt her the better she will get.Goodluck with the pup.

I would say if she is 15 minutes ahead of the 3 year old dog that she smoked her. Sounds like you need to hunt her with something else or hunt her by herself.

most young dogs will tree bay or what ever you want to call by
sight easier.how many heads would fit in the hole?sounds like a nice pup.

well it was a big enough hole for my pup to get to her shoulders in. it was on a bank of a big field it might have been a ground hog hole. and lol hunt reese.

She is out of lilttle ted river spook he is out of swampcat and lightfoot on the bicth side sife she is a good track dog and tree she hunt right off she will go as fer as she needs to too tree but i have tree all the time wth her the the othier dogs past by and she is 2
