Jamie and I are offering Buck at stud because he has several qualities that the breed lacks in my opinion. Buck is 8 years old now and hasn't been bred much, he has taken a back seat to his dad Joe when it comes to breeding. He is now retired so I would like to get a few NICE females bred to him before it's too late.
The good:
He has all the drive you could ask for, he leaves every time throwing dirt.
He is one of the fastest track dogs I've been in the woods with.
He's competitive and is a 2nd strike dog and a quick 1st treedog.
He handles like a dream, you can call him out from anywhere and you don't even need a leash.
He travels well. He can tree tough coons here in the swamps and also looks good in thick coon up North.
He has a lot of COONDOGS in his pedigree and should reproduce well.
The bad:
He will tree a couple possums a year but no fast game.
He had a heat stroke 2 years ago and hasn't been the same since. He still has the drive and track speed but misses a lot more since the stroke than he ever did before.
He jumps at the tree a little. Not what I call a tree jacker, he just bounces up and down but doesn't run the tree.
He has been a blast to own and is 1 of my all time favorites. If your interested or have any questions feel free to call. Thanks
