found pup dead ????

I just went out to check on pups and found one dead in the box. These were the nicest pups id ever seen . They will be 4 weeks tomorrow. The one i found dead was fine earlier today. When i opened the door to let em out i found him dead. He almost seemed deflated and was real mushy feeling around his stomach. He had crapped and it was black as coal ??????Im stumped. Any IDEAS ?

Could be that something with the pups intestines broke. That black as coal is usually blood. Or you may have parvo or corona setting in. Best keep an eye on the others. But most likely it was something inside the pup that may have ruptured. Just my thoughts I by no means am a Vet.

Thanks Alan, Im definitely keeping an eye on the other ones. He was the smallest pup in the litter but was still normal size, the others are huge for their age.It shocked me when i found him,he acted fine.

Have you wormed them yet ??? Hook and round worms are real hard on young Pups .. Try using Safeguard Liquid goat wormer
