Request for Points Check

Registration Staff,
I am inquiring about 2 different beagles Show Title point status.
The 1st is ukc reg number P596-702 Dusty Roads ADW Peggy Power. I believe she should be at either 105 or 140 with a win versus competition. Hopefully, UKCs records reflect Peggy as a Show Champion.

2nd dog P683-458 HBCH CH Dusty Roads Hillbilly Hank, I have 5 Champion Show Wins on Hank and was hoping UKCs records reflected five different show judges. This should qualify Hank as a GRCH OR Grand Show Champion I hope.

Thanks for looking into these two dogs for me,

Fred Hawkins of Dusty Road Beagles

Fred,

Peggy is at 140 points but does not have the required Best Female of Show with competition. Therefore, a Champion Degree cannot be awarded until that happens. I think sometimes there's some confusion between "best of show male or female" and Best of Winners. Best of sex is what is required. Seems like Best of Winners, with competition should satisfy the intent but that's just me.

As for Hank, he is a Grand Show Champion! And yes, under five different judges, although only two are required. Impressive! Looks like the last one was just processed and the degree is scheduled to go out on Monday. Just in time for the Grand Class at Nationals!

Hi Allen G

Hey, I do not believe there is confusion on ,y behalf with Peggy UKC #596-702 according to the win slip receipts I have Peggy had competition in her last show in which she won Best of Winners thus she should meet the requirements for show champion. Now for the last 20 yrs Best Male and Best Female of Show with Competition met the requirements for Show Ch as long as they had three different judges and met the minimum of 100 sh pts, when did that change? I do realize that in order to have competed for Total Dog in the past that threg wnr or Best of Winners had to be awarded to have competed against the Ch n Ge catagory wnr for Best of Breed or the Total Dog wnr. I know Total Dog was done away with so why even have the Best of Breed now?

THX for checking into these dogs for me,
Fred

Allen

I read the 2014 Show Rules and it still states Best Male or Best Female with competition on pg 15 not Best of Winners. I truly am missing something in your reply.

Best of Winners with competition does not meet the requirement for Best of Show Female with competition. In other words, in the registered category a dog must have competition within their sex.
