Yes sir, jumping at the tree is a really bad habit, can cause all kinds of problems. But it's not something that can't be fixed. Maybe some people don't have the patience to work with a dog enough to get them over it, and I understand that. It's your choice, and it's not something you can fix in one night, or even one week. Not everything is as easy to fix as a dog that will run deer, but that doesn't mean it can't be fixed. Now would I breed a hound that carries a trait like this? No, definitely not. But that doesn't mean he couldn't go on to make a nice coondog, that you could have a lot of fun with. Not everyone is looking for the next top reproducing Stud dog, some people just want to hunt and have fun.
