what are hunts all about

What is your options on this.
What is sportsman like conduct and have you ever seen it in a hunt?
How much does a title mean if the hunts were won buy cheating?
How different would hunts be if there was a non hunting judge on ever cast?

As for the good conduct I was in a hunt recently a man treed his dog and 3 seconds later he said minus her the judge ask if he was sure no one could tell she want treed but him and he was honest about it

I have tried dogs with titles after a week of hunting I take them back knowing that the title was won by the handler.A slick handler can make almost any dog a nitech.

more people

I wish when I went to a hunt there was more then 6 dogs at a hunt . or that some one that runs the hunts has no competition and wins every hunt. I've seen dogs that never should win a cast be a night champ. I've seen two dog cast slot around her and it's sad.. Maybe if kids where handed a leash they would get into hunting and not drugs. The old guys talk of 100 dogs at local hunts wish we could get back to that.

The hunts to me is about fellowship with other good honest coon hunters that love the sport. We all want to win but we all cant. Theirs only one winner in a cast. I have fun every time i go. Id say im a sportsman. I call my dog for what it does and dont argue or try to cover it up. Ive minused my own dog on many occasions. A hunt aint about who can screw who the deepest its about the best hound that night. It dont always turn out that way but if you know the rules then most the time it does.

other fellow hunters at the hunts can tell who in packing a dog and who has good sportsmanship weather they win or not. some of the most respected members of the club and most respected hounds at the club house dont win all that often because they already figured out winning isn't everything.

There are some great people to hunt with and there are some poor peopleto hunt with. I haven't had but a few bad casts in the last year and that's all due to the guys I was hunting with. Chances are good if you hear a hunter before drawing out cussing up a storm and manners few and far you better hope you don't draw them. It's sad a guy can't even bring his wife or kids around the hunts because a lot of hunters can't control their tongue.

Most small clubs would fold up. The only people that show up at the clubs I belong to come to hunt. Any non-hunting judge that you could get would be someones relation that got talked into it and most likely wouldn't really know the rules that well. As I stated earlier most people come to hunt or don't come.
