Picking a pup Myths????

Alright lets get some discussion going.......What are some different Ways/Things you look for when picking a pup? Lets hear them crazy or not......Here are some things I've seen or Heard:

1)For instance I was always told to look at the knowledge knot on a pups head.
2) Count the whisker hairs on the side of their face LOL.
3) Had guy tell me once to never pick a pup unless it had a thick blaze running up its snout up between its eyes. (first time i had every heard that one)

Always pick up its tail and check for an O under it. This works never had a good dog of any kind that didn't have one.

I always looked for the strongest pup of the litter...
And i did this by picking up the pup upside down by the tail and seeing what pup could left it's head the highest or did the most wiggling from that position

Pick your pup up on their 49th day, it's said the pup is in a psychological window where they handle the transition to new owner better.

Take your favorite 2 pups out on the 4lane highway and turn them loose, the one that gets hit would have been the good one and shoot the other, the worthless one never get hit!!

Good plan ! Also like the highway idea lol - my favorite 5 month old pick of the litter just died of some strange intestinal complication - just went and bought a littermate back today @ wait and see mode . My general therory on weaning age pups is pick the odd ball if there is one .
