been looking myself.

don't get much of a response.....I have put several posts on here for the same thing and just don't hear back much.
there is a guy named matt kentrell and he is in middle tn. He has a small built stud dog. His number is931-397-1519
super nice guy and has nice dual type hounds. coondogs but good looking. might want to buzz him and talk to him. looks to have some old blood and small.

Couple threads down, Medley's Lock Box is supposed to be a small hound, throwing smaller pups... I know for a fact Joe Newlins Clover dogs tend to be smaller. I think Cube is around 40#.

I like smaller dogs myself.

Lock box will do it

also there is a young dog down here in Mississippi close to me off of Lock box and my boots female that is small and tight built. He wants to breed him to see what he will throw. He is a sure nuff little coondog that trees coons. less than 50 lbs and big mouth.
I can put you in touch with him if you pm me and are serious about breeding.

you got any pics you could text?

also...are you planning on breeding her to a smaller type male?
You may not be all that far from Oakridge kennels. I heard his clover bred stud is real small and super loud.

if you have pics send them to 901-292-5464

thx

love looking at pics of smaller dogs.

Hey guys, I've got a big ol lug of a pup, he's not going to be small at all, but I guess I've never thought about the size of a hound. I see y'all prefer smaller hounds. Mind if I ask why? Don't get mad! I ain't knocking small hounds! I kinda like the thought of a 45 pound dog that sounds like a train! Are they faster through the brush? Easier to keep? All of the above, plus some? Y'all have me interested........

bout 45 lbs give or take.....you tell me.

quick as a bullit getting thru the woods. doesn't eat much and can jump up into the front seat of a small Toyota.
those are enough for me to like um.

One of these days that kind of dog just may come my way.

Newlins Thorn dog should throw some small pups. His momma was a little dog but was more than proof dynamite comes in small packages.

That Thorn dog left a impression in my mind from the couple times I seen him on tailgate adventures.Every single time they showed him on there he would get a coon treed in short order. To me he looked like alot better coondog than those high dollar stud dogs they showed.

I have one pup from the last three litters that I raised. All from the same male. The oldest is a little over two years old and will weigh about 45# , the next one is 1 year old and weighs about 30#, and the last one is 11 months old and weighs about 25#. The stud weighs 43# and two of the three females bred were not small built, one was. All three are showing the same confirmation, bone structure, and feet. After a little hunting, they muscle up very well. I haven't hunted the younger two much yet, but the older one is showing me a lot of the same hunting traits and style as the stud, and most importantly intelligence. Names on papers and looks mean nothing to me if they don't have a little upstairs. Just my 2 cents on small dogs.

hey bud...got your text on finishing

jess into a nite champion. thats a good looking dog with great spring creek radar blood running through his veins. awesome pedigree. You guys up in east tn. need to give this dog a look. He is old blood of old blood not bred up to anything close that is being promoted these days. If you truly want to put something fresh into your blood, Id say give ole jess a try, plus he is a small dog like we like and I hear a real pleasure to hunt and a coondog.
thanks matt for sharing pics and his pedigree with me.
