If UKC has recieved them and is processing them, then "I think" that you can. The rule says that dog must be "permanately registered". I would say that if he had sent the papers in then UKC was "in the act of" permanately registering the dog. Either way, he could hunt the dog on a conditional entry and let UKC decide if he would get credit for the win. By time they had processed the paperwork for the hunt, then the dog should be registered.

A dog must be permanently registered in order to receive credit for Championship points. Sending it in does not satisfy the criteria of being permanently registered. Once processed, then it becomes permanently registered.

You may enter and hunt a dog as conditional so long as the dog is permanently registered. If the owner has not received the papers by the day previous to the hunt, he may want to contact UKC to see if the dog is permanently registered (puppy papers processed). If so, the go ahead and enter as Conditional. If it hasn't been then he's throwing his entry fee away by entering.

Hope this helps. The King was almost right.

So you don't have to have papers "processed" in order to hunt. You must have them "processed" in order to recieve credit. Right now, it seems to me that it takes longer to get a hunt's results sent in and recieve credit than it does to get puppy papers processed.
