Stone River's Overnight Fed-x Update

FED-X IS FROM THE CROSS NORM STARLING MADE FROM HIS AIRPLANE FEMALE , CANDY AND MAD DOG SMOKE, HE IS ONLY 6 MONTHS OLD, AND AFTER OVER 35 YEARS OF TRAINING DOGS, THIS DOG IS THE FASTEST , NATURAL BORN TREE DOG IVE TRAINED, THIS IS A VIDEO OF HIS LAST COON DRAG WORK OUT, IVE TRIED TO THROUGH HIM OFF , AND YOU CANT STUMP HIM , HE WILL TREE THE COON, HE IS DOING GREAT ON THE LIVE TURN OUTS THAT HE HAS HAD, IVE STARTED HUNTING HIM HARD, HE TREED LAST NIGHT, GIVING A BIG LONG LOCATE, IM JUST REAL EXCITED ABOUT THIS PUP, I'VE BEEN IN THIS LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW YOU CANT JUDGE A CROSS BY JUST ONE PUP, BUT IF YOU COULD, I WOULD SURE SAY MAKE IT AGAIN, THANKS NORM FOR A SURE NOUGH NATURAL TREE DOG. click photo below for video

Seems that they all will start early if exposed. The litter out of candy (jet bred), wendy (pounder bred) and drizz ( utchman bred ) have all been early starters. Mark Hefner in MI. has a smoke X drizz cross female that he started at 4months old. Mark started another female same croos but a year younger female for Vernon Brown that started the same way and was running and treeing her own coon by 6 months old. Scott Brown in MO. Has a male that was doing the same last year out of the drizz cross. We have a female littermate doing it all.
Dustin Bloxem , Wayne Poff, Larry Harvey, Charles Wyaitt and my self have 6month old pups out of smoke X wendy that are makeing coondogs. Wane , Dustin and Larry have theirs running and treeing their own coon. Larry called last night and said his pup has treed 27 coon, one slick, one possum and ran one deer
Not to bad for a 6 month old pup. LOL
Then we have your pup, Norms and the two males of ours out of candy and smoke that are doing the same.
Guess they start early and knock on wood are showing great promise.
Forgot to mention that Dustin Manning has a smoke X blueberrie cross pup that is 12 weeks old and is fighting a cage coon and will track and tree the drag.

And yes they all are super hard tree dogs.
One common thing they all share and that is an over the top desire to get ahold of a coon. plus a big drive gear.
Keep in touch and pour it on ole Fed X

My Pup is treeing her guts out but she's not standing up the wood much. When she sits on her butt she still trees hard and it might change w time and confidence. I just wounder what the other pups off him tree style is.

Pups

It is hard to describe the intense desire these dogs have to get ahold of a coon.Thats why Smoke has done so good in the hunts. He wants to get ahold of every coon in the woods .LOL His pups are the same way. They might bump some trash but once you pour a few coon out to them they have that insane desire for coon.
Norm, all the pups that I know of tree up on the tree. Smokes grand sire on his dams side was a sit on his butt style tree dog. He was also a bawl mouth tree dog he just shortened up . That was Rooster II and his pups treed up on the tree one of which was Crystal the dam to smoke. Smoke trees up on the wood also. My crash pup does a little of both. When crash gets real excited he stays up on the tree . After he has been there a while he will sit every once in a while. He still is an every breath tree dog with a solid chop.
Chrome trees just as hard but stays up on the wood.
Your female might be a throw back to Rooster II in tree style. I havent seen it in any of my dogs for a long time.
I will try to get these guys to send me some videos of their pups.
Most of these guys are computer challenged like me so it might take some arm twisting.

thanks russ, he is a good solid tree dog, just got to pay his dues in the woods, the only thing I don't like about him is his size, he is around 65 pounds now, so im afraid he is going to end up to big for me.

Fed X

Joey, I dont think he will get any bigger maybe just fill out inhis chest and his head. Seems these pups mature fast size wise and then just level out into a more mature lookin hound.
Let me know when start putin him in the woods. Im taking mine tonight. Our kill season just opened so I got high hopes for these guys. They have done good on cage coon now for the wild version they hunt up on their own.

Fed X

Joey thats great. Sounds like he is doing super for a 7 month old pup.

My son and I havent hunted hardly at all this past week and a half. We are remodeling his house and that has kept us busy but we are caught up enough now to put Fed X's littermates in the woods this week. We expect the same results you are haveing.

Keep at it and keep us updated. Good luck........Roy

Thanks for being such good houndsman and puppy trainer. Keeping this cross on the map. I think this is just the begining of this litter. If my puppy wasn't about to get hit w a big winter lay up I'd be all over mine. She's ready.

norm, honestly, being a good pup trainer has nothing to do with fed x progress , ive only showed him 4 live coons, and laid some drag tracks for him, ive only put him in the woods, its as natural to him as ive ever seen.

Their was 9 puppies in this litter. 1 got hit by a car in Illinois. 2 are in new york doing well. Two in Kansas. Two in ohio. They are all starting as natural as every dog in Candy's pedigree. Not always u can outcross w the same result. Says something for Smoke also.
