Newbie question

Me and my husband got a feist pup at 8 wks old. I would take her with me and my hounds in the woods and just let her follow or do her thing, which was to go in and out of the brush all day long. We started taking her by herself in the woods when she was about 6 mos old. She seemed to be doing fine. She sight chased and stood up on a few trees. Now she is 9 mos and it seems that when my husband takes her hunting alone without me or anyone else she does exceptionally well. But with me or another person she doesnt hunt well , kind of stands around looking at us or just runs between the 2 of us. Should we be worried or will she grow out of it?

I took her out today by myself and she hunted just fine. I dont know , shes got me scratching my head. I guess we will just wait and see.

April I have a fiest also. They are smart dogs and yours is most likely just being a pup. When it knows what you want it to do it will work to please you. Remember once a treedog person always a tree dog person.

Bubba AprilD, the feist you speak of, is it a house dog? It don't take much to turn a house dog into a "one man dog".

Well our feist is a semi house dog. Like my hounds , she is house broke and comes inside but also spends a lot of time out in kennel when I need some peace and quiet.
