Hunting coon w/dogs and trapping them.

What do you think about hunting coon w/dogs and trapping them also? Would just like some opinions. Here's an unrelated story. Was hunting sq. on posted property w/permission Monday when the guy that runs it told us not to small game hunt on there anymore until after deer season and that he was going to set traps after Jan.1 He said coon had been eating their deer corn and they had been catching coon and shooting them and throwing them over the hill. If you hunt w/ a dog doesn't leave you much does it?
