Lost my Nt CH. Yahara River Blue Boone to a minny van last nite.The driver of the van never even stoped. The truck behind him stop to help the dog. When I got to the dog he was still alive. Took him to the emergency vet office found out his back was broken,plus a lot of other stuff to his head and lungs. Had to put him down. sure will miss him. He was out of Tuckers Boomer and Speich's Dixie. He was a hell of a dog. Thanks Jon Ahrens.

Im so sorry.

I hear all the time "its part of it" but I cant stand that thought. I have a friend who lost one of his pups like this so he decided to stop hunting the littermate as the bloodline will be all but gone if that one gets killed.
Ppl have been so hateful to him because of his decission. I dont care if mine ever get hunted if we have to chance the road like that.

I hope your pain eases. Im truly sorry for you both.

i recently lost a loved stephens cur on the highway eventhough she was wearing a blinding blue strobe light. it was heart breaking to see her and that flashing blue light in the middle of the road. since i'm a Christain i decided to thank God for the dogs, the opportunity to hunt with them and ask HIM to bless them with safety and me with common sense. i do this everytime before i release them. i feel better about it.
