I'm a firm believer in that certain traits that will work in one part of the country won't work so well in another part of the country. Possibly even state to state.
Sounds to me like you should probably stick with what your having luck with, skuna river.
I've been hearing a lot of good things about that raccoon valley wrangler
He supposed to be a colder nosed, track driving hound.
If your looking for more of a medium nosed hound, clover would probably be a good choice.
Clover x skuna river crosses usually turn out pretty good from what I understand.
I know of a buddy that will be making this cross soon.
Days and Dozer is a full littermate to the female that he owns, which is the mother of the pup I own. He might be a good option. Has a pretty good mouth to.
My pup also could use a little more mouth, but seems to have an endless amount of drive, brains, and hunt in her. From what I've seen hounds where they are bred for mouth, seem to lack a little bit in other areas. Just my opinion, which is probably based too much on videos off of the internet, and from what I have read in the forums.
As far as the lipper dogs, I have no idea what kind pups they either are throwing, but I'm not sure why you would want to gamble with an outcross.
