question for allen/ukc

I like the new htx hunts! and the kids in my area are really liking it! What a great way to get kids involved more and really see what dogs can do by themselves. I for one in the future will look to see if a stud dog has an HTX title before I breed. But, my question is: why is ukc not printing in the coonhound bloodlines under "new titles" the htx titles. It would make some of these kids feel more involved and proud. Some of the kids have ask me why does ukc not print there htx wins in the coonhound bloodlines and I have no answer for them. I would love to see ukc print there names after they earn the title htx with there dogs. So, Allen can you help answer this please??? Thanks. Greg

Gregory, I'm tickled to hear that the kids in your area are liking the HTX hunts. It's a great event for any youngster to participate and have fun with.

As far as not listing those dogs earning HTX titles, I'm not sure why we don't but I'll take it to a meeting to discuss. Your input is really appreciated. Thanks and tell those kids I'll be looking into it.

i was wondering the same thing the other day as to why they are not in bloodlines great program i love doing them ive seen alot of ppl that wont hunt in a regular hunt that love them

newport you are exactly right. Some of the kids mentioned they actually liked the htx hunts better. no argueing, no junk, just fun and seeing what the dog can do. Until you go and do some, folks should not knock 'em. I always said " if coonhunting got to be anything but fun I would quit". and the htx hunts seem to be fun so far. Also, it should be printed, because it is a "new title" and is no different than making a nt. ch. or ch. etc. title. and that section in the bloodlines should include this. Thanks, Greg

I completely agree my kids arnt old enough for the night hunts yet but do show from time to time and cannot wait to see their names in the back as winners the daughter tore the page out and framed it the first time her name was in there for winning best of show

Allen, i agree that they should be listed in bloodlines if able to. Also when the HTX first started out they were listed on the registration papers of dogs under the degrees earned by offspring. why are they no longer listed under degrees earned of offspring. also if an offspring report is pulled it does not show at the bottom of total degrees earned. i think the HTX carries alot of weight and should be listed on there papers and offspring report if possible. Thanks and keep up the good work.
