DC 40 repair or replace

I have a collar that lights up solid full charge and then go's dead within a hour.I have replaced battery and still does the same and know won't connect to hand held.I was wondering if Garmin will fix for the flat rate of $90 or should I replace it?

Last time I had a issue with a DC 40. I called garmin and they told me to send them the collar. I paid their rate. And what they did was send me a totally different collar that had been repaired . Told me to put original antenna back on it and send it in. Said they just put it with the rest of the ones messed up and that way it wouldnt be a long wait. Hope this helps

I did the u tube video thing. It fixed the red light staying on but the collar still didn't work right. In fact my new collar should be here today or monday! As soon as they get your collar they ship out a "new" refurbished one.

I always wondered if your computer had a virus and you updated your collar, could that make your collar not work right?
Prolly a stupid question.

If this happens to anyone with a 220 and dc40 go back thru procedure to download collar and hold the power button in on the collar and it will find your collar and update your collar and should work fine after that.I talked to garmin today and they were very helpful.
