what line of walkers?

I've had several lines of walker that were good fast dogs. I haven't had some yet that were pleasure dog deluxe. Just wondering what your guys and girls experiences were with walkers that could just flat out tree coons no matter the temp, weather or anything else. I know there are a lot of beliefs about the smoke from the chimney laying low or high and so on, but what line or perticular cross just would flat out tree coons to where you weren't making excesses for them. I know a lot of you have treed several coons with certain lines but which dog just amazed you every time you took it out. Also, if you raised it from a pup, when did it start and what was its hunting style?

My old grand nite dog was lipper bred and Hard Rock Cafe bred. He was a coon dog it didn't matter what the conditions was he would get you a coon. I hunted him for 7 years and I bet I didn't kill a coon a hand full of times in those 7 years

Guys spend there whole lives looking for a flat amazing coondog.Breed has nothing to do with it.I know I got a Trackman female that is a pleasure dog deluxe and can win the hunts.Trees me plenty of coon and really shines in the cold winter months. There is also alot of good English out there from the Top Gun bloodline.

I have always been a clover line fan too.! When I pick a bloodline it's for what suits me and I have seen alot of brains come out of the clover dogs. Usually hard treeing, honest striking type.

I used to hunt blueticks. Now I have a female out of Bark.

I get tired of hearing if you want to have coons in the trees get rid of the walkers and get a bluetick or whatever. This walker dog I have is more accurate than any bluetick I've ever had.

Every dog we own, and most of the good one's we've had goes back to a dog named GRNITECH 'PR' McCLOUD'S RIVER KENNEL BUTCH. Mostly every dog we've got we've either bred and raised or got from Beep Dillow. Beep doesn't care about titles or papers....only what the dog does in the woods. Our dogs are FAR from perfect, but we tree coons with them all year around, and a high percentage of time in the hills of Eastern, KY.

If you think the only reason walkers dominate the hunts because of there population you are way wrong.Id like to see a good Blueticks in action but I'm sure there's a good reason why nobody round here hunts them.

If my bluetick was still alive id put money that she could out hunt any dog out there and the older she got the quicker and more accurate she was....I useed to have a coma dog I got from a friend while visiting after he had a few pups I took the runt and it was a hella of a coon dog but my bluetick run circles around her....a lot of people now don't hunt blue dogs cuase people won't give them a chance...I love the blueticks voice but I not partial to them just owned many of them over the past 15 years as well as walkers redbones englishes and b and ts a few curs which I didn't care mmuch for....its just depends on how much time and effort u put into the dog to make it a fine tuned hunting machine as well as genetics and patiance...ill hunt any breed of dog as long as it will hunt and do it right
