I have a 15 month old English blue tick. he runs track great but when he gets to the tree he will bark a few times then start running it backwards. will he just come out of it or is there something I can do now?

What I did with my male was hurry up and get to him and tie him up and shoot the coon out and then he will come out of it

Good advice,Also try hunting with a dog that will stay treed.
When I was young used to climb and shake them out.Me and the dogs were a team. They would stay and wait for me to climb the tree and shake it out to them. You would not believe how many coons I've got over the years without a gun.May not be for everyone but it worked for me when I was young and didn't have a treedog.

Yeah it is fun to shake them out because the dogs are barking and the coon is hissing
