I don't post a lot on here but lost a good hound today. Gold Nugget KY General had been retired a couple years but had to be put down today to end his suffering. Shane Cannon had General the last 5 or 6 years and we used him as a pup trainer and all around pleasure hound. It was a great pleasure to hunt with him and see a coondog work. He was a full brother to Gullett's Oakwoods Diamond and I know she is gone as well but I was glad I got to hunt with both of them before they were gone.

Old man was worth his weight in gold.... hard to see them get old, and falling apart. General started and trained some pretty good hounds.....

I knew about this, but somehow missed the post.....

He was a good one, worse thing about losing the old man for a pup trainer/good honest coonhound was, we'll never know what kind of reproducer he would have been!!! Good looking sucker with a good mouth, track and tree and being a littermate to old Diamond, he should have thrown some good ones!

Yeah we tried to breed him to roxy about 3 years ago and it didn't work I was hopeful that it would but we never got anything
