One of the few i admire is would be bobby allen, gene hicks, and steve thorton. These three have shared more usable knowledge with me than anybody i can think of. And they are all within an hour of me

Paul Vaughn and Tim Vaughn Lionell Charles and chicken man are the old timers in my neck of the woods I just got into coon hunting last year and if it had not been for Paul Vaughn taking me under his wing I would still be trying to figure everything out but all have these men have taught me things and helped me out and I owe them money thanks

Bill Wisecarver in south eastern Ohio. He has been tromping the Muskingum river bottoms for 62 years. I am new to coon hunting. He heard about my 13yr old son wanting a black and tan so he gave him a pup with alot of bad to the bones blood.
My sons' wish has turned into a passion for the both of us.
We are looking forward to many many nights with him. Also please keep Bill in your thoughts and prayers as he has recently busted a couple of ribs.

Ex father in law Ricky Fowler hunts red ticks. And his brother Roy who I gotten Molly from. First dog and will die in my yard. They help me how to coon hunt and told me lot lots of stories. They all help me get Molly started and also Mr Jimmy Owens help also. And Mr Harry Reeder who hunts b&t. I'm still learning.

Yes awesome. I've been in hunting only a fee years. They have been it since they were kids and they are in their 60's now. So I listen to them and take their advice.

I would have to say the late ESmond Curry. He hunted with two littermates out of Curry's Bonnie and Houses Chief. Later added some Nance blood to his dogs.I don't think he ever entered a comp. hunt. He was in his eighties when he passed. Probably hunted 70 years or more.

I would have to say the calmer iowas own, Derek Oyloe. what an inspiration to the coon hunters of iowa. Juggles kids, a wife, and dogs all at once. Great trainer and teacher. Not many know him but your missing out!!!! sets the bar to all that know him. Grows a great beard as well!!

I would have to say Bill Tucker and Jr Matney. There aren't many dogs in this part of the country that one of these men didn't have something to do with. Some they raised or owned their ancestors some they owned or started themselves

My town has a population of 600. I wouldn't say we ever had a legend, at least in a good way. We did have Dave Blankenship and World Ch ROCK RIVER BANJO tho
