age limit on breeding.

Is there an age limit on how old a gyp can be when she has pups and you try to register them? This was asked at a hunt. Some agreed and some not. Is this true? And if so where can I find it in the book

don't know anything about if ukc has a age limit or not but me perosonly i wouldn't breed till thier 3 yrs old and then only if they can run and tree a coon on thier own and do it right other wise you just putting a litter of pups that won't amount to nothing breed coondog to coondog jmo

I begged to differ , I've seen worthless coon dog gyps in the woods throw great pups that are coon crazy. I'd say breed them from 2-8 years jmo

Yeah I understand , you and me are alike I don't like the people that just want a puppy mill to make money . I was just saying it happens and works sometimes out but I don't support it

thats what im talkin about if you have a well bred gyp and she won't run and tree a coon and don't turn out alot of people will sell them as brood gyps and breed them to a good stud dog and hope to sell the pups for top money and alot of people will fall for it but not me ive seen pups not turn out even out of 2 good dogs you just take a gamble on a pup anyways so i want mine out of real good dogs and i think the gyp has alot to do with the way pups turn out

Ukc will make you DNA them but you can breed them until they die. Just after like 10 yrs old the litter must be DNA no big deal. There not saying you cant breed them they just want proof there sire and dame is still alive and there what you say they are.
