dog chewing on wood

Is there any thing to put on wood in the kennel to keep a pup from chewing on all the wood.

Keep a bone, rawhide, old boot, or chew toy, in his pen for him to chew on. Pups, and young dogs need something to chew on to cut teeth. Even old dogs like it.

Not sure what kind of kennel you have but there is one sure way to stop him chewing from everything up. Get some measurements of the wood that is being chewed and then go to a sheet metal place and have them cut and bend into angles .o32 aluminum that you can use to wrap the exposed part of the wood. It will save the kennel from being all chewed up. Predrill holes in it and tack in place with aluminum siding nails. Will cost a bit but better than letting one chew it to pieces and at the same time take a chance of a piece of wood getting into his intestinal track and becoming lodge! Just a thought!!
