Richard Lambert's Mongo red dog is re-producing he has produced a UKC National Redbone champion, Super stakes quarter finalists, and just recently a female named Fancy aka Squirrel won the PKC Redbone Days. This is no fluke these dogs are tough and they tree coons, I am a walker man through and through but if I ever switched to a off colored dog I would have a Mongo dog.

Yellow River/ Fireball. This line has produced more winners in the Big hunts in the last few years.

Poll

There is'nt to much of a difference between the three you listed. Myself I like what I've seen mixing the three together with my Jake dog. Colonel - is Rusty on the bottom & outlaw on top. I realy like the tree power outlaw & Rusty put in their pups, & like the drive & nose power my Jake hound puts in them. So far this has put some well rounded pups on the ground crossing Jake, Rusty, Jesse James Jr..Confederate, you might want to take a look at the other side of the papers on some of them winners, I think you might find some Outlaw/Timberchopper.

Almost all of today's popular lines of redbones go back to timber chopper and the outlaw lines are some of the closest to the original timber chopper blood still available...because they were some of the first redbones from which semen was collected and frozen on. Its really not fair to lump in timber chopper (a dog from the 60's) with strains that split off from that line 20-30 years later.

Just an FYI trinityroyals, outlaw, as well as many other strains, stem from timber chopper lines...

Would sure agree with that one especially If you consider when this post was made. No Timber Chopper In a 6gen. PED I know for sure. There isn't a single line that has a hound close enough that you can truely crall it being from one certain line that has won anything like what the Fireball stuff has in the way of big hunts, of course the Yellow River stuff is part of that. Actual Whole World Hunt winner, Redbone Days winners, National GrNtCh Autumn Oaks winners, Purina Winners, to write all of the wins seperately would literally take pages. Guess what this line of hounds still has a good number of hounds that by blood percent are bred so that Fireball is still like their grandfather or great grandfather and the cross my buddies helped me do that produced 4 pups that by blood pecentage Fireball would be like thier dad. This stuff is out there strong In the right areas with multiple people to get it from and most all I've known have the kind of hunting drive so many seem to be looking for.

I say

That the poll left out SEVERAL more dominant strains than some of those mentioned. I have witnessed 1st hand lots of dogs. I'll stay with what pleases me and not worry about what folks think are better than everyone elses. Travel and look, go with them yourself then make your own opinion. That's my thoughts on this subject. Have a nice day guys, and good hunting
