Who will we see when we get to heaven?

Just trying to get some feedback from the Trinitarian point of view in regards of who we will see when we get to heaven. Will we see one person or three? Here is a link to an article from Oneness Pentecostal minister David Bernard that addresses it very well. Please keep it civil, I am just looking for feedback from those who like to discuss some of the theological issues such as this.

link to article I like......http://www.endtime-truth.com/articles8.html

I was referring to the entities of the Godhead. In reference to people, the more that we see there the better. Without a doubt it is the will of God for every person who has ever lived to be saved.

Care to elaborate? I'm interested in what people have to say.

As far as your question about will we see one or three, I believe God the father is a spirit that spirit is love and for you to see a spirit it must manifest as something for you to see it. Jesus was the physical manifestation of that spirit. The Holy Spirit is the part of the physical manifestation that is God. God was not a man , he became a man and the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead is now making you one with the father just as Jesus was one with the father. John 17. 21 and Romans 8. 11

Thanks for your reply. I fully understand this is a topic that few people will care to discuss becasue of the conflict it brings in regards to the belief in a truine Godhead.

Personally I believe that I will see God and sitting to the right of him Jesus Christ on his throne. I fully believe in the trinity and don't believe the Holy Spirit will be there in a physical, tangible way. I didn't have time to read the article yet, these are just my thoughts. Glad to have you back Casey, always appreciate these discussions.

And just another opinion, because I saw others touch on it in this thread. I don't believe we will see or recognize loved ones who have passed. It seems that sounds crazy but I just don't believe there is a scriptural basis for it and people don't want to hear it. It's a carnal desire, and being in Gods glory will have us completely fulfilled. We won't have a need to worry about what happened in our very minuscule time on earth.

Think about it, if we had prior knowledge of our times on earth we would be tore up knowing so and so wasn't here and my best buddy didn't make it. There won't be tears in heaven, there won't be grief in heaven. There's no need to have knowledge or look back on this past life.

But as is most talk about heaven a lot of it is speculative and just my opinion.

Post scripture. Lazarus and the rich man is a parable. We will be given glorified bodies in heaven. The rich man would not have been able to see Lazarus in heaven and ask him for a drink of water if he was truly perished and in hell.

The disciples didn't recognize Jesus at first when he was given his glorified body. That was a literal event and not a parable. Matthew 22:30 says we will not be married or give in marriage. Which IMO means we won't be tied to any people or any previous relationships.

Revelation 21.4

4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Isaiah 65:17

New Heavens and a New Earth

17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind."

IT SAYS THE RICH MAN LIFTED UP HIS EYES IN TORMINT AND SAW LAZERITH IN ABRAHAMS BUSUM (Heaven)or(parodise) and ask God to send him to dip his finger in water to touch his toung and to send him back to warn his family about that awfull place so i believe he was in Hell, there will be no marrying or marriage, and the tears etc just means no more any bad things happen to us, i also think we wont remember those lost souls that we knew hear and prayed for, they will come to mind no more. I think everyone in Heaven will mean as much to us as anyone else and no difference between men and women. Jesus had a gloryfied body but he still had the scars in his hands and side.
Parables are to teach us just the same as a litteral event and i belive has a litteral meaning.

What if you are both right or both wrong? The important part is where you see yourself.

If you have never found this kingdom how can you help others who are lost find it. The kingdom of God is the place where the king rules. The kingdom of God is within you. Who is the king of your kingdom?

Good question. Who is the king of your kingdom? You may say God. Well, define who God is. What is his name? Who is the king you will see when the end comes?

I already said in my post above why I think it's a parable. And a parable doesn't mean "IT'S NOT TO BE PAID ATTN TO". It's certainly true, and Jesus said it. I've always been taught its a parable and it's how I've understood it.

oklared: Jesus spoke in many parables, do you believe that ten talents, the Prodigal Son, or the barren fig tree aren't parables? It doesn't mean they are not important or arent held in high regard.
