DEMOCRATS ON OBAMA CARE !!!!!!!!!!

As the Obamacare disaster rolls along, it's Democrats, not Republicans, who are expressing doubts over the bill. First, co-Obamacare author and Democratic Senator Max Baucus called it a train wreck. Then last week after the administration said it would postpone the employer mandate for a year, Democratic Senator Tom Harkin questioned the legality of the delay and now, California Democrat and Insurance Commissioner David Jones is warning the new exchanges could lead to rampant identity theft and fraud.

MORE DELAYS ON oblamocare!!

It seems that the cap on out-of-pocket expenses for insurance consumers must be delayed until 2015, i.e. conveniently after the 2014 elections, along with the employer mandate. Obama apologists exhausted from their frenzied efforts to portray the employer mandate as a minor, inconsequential feature of the Affordable Care Act must now take a deep breath, regain their composure, and begin explaining why it's no big deal to delay one of the signature benefits of the President's scheme, endlessly touted as a marvelous gift to the middle class over the past few years.

In truth, this cap on expenses is no "gift" at all, unless stale fruitcake is your favorite Christmas present. It's just another way of hiding and re-distributing costs. It will drive insurance premiums higher, because providers aren't going to eat the higher costs imposed upon them by the caps - they'll just blend the costs into everyone's insurance premiums, effectively forcing those with modest health expenditures to subsidize people who incur high expenses.

That's probably why the ObamaCare commissars decided to quietly postpone the out-of-pocket caps until after the election. They're seeing far too many headlines about exploding insurance premiums as it is.

The rest of us can only wonder how much of ObamaCare needs to fail before we achieve a broad consensus that the Affordable Care Act is unworkable and must be discarded. Greedy politicians salivating over the huge transfer of money and power from the private sector to the ruling class don't care about how badly ObamaCare fails, of course... but why should anyone else put up with this nonsense?
