Hattie

I hunted with her up at Dan Everette's in Michigan. Hattie was old, something like 13 yrs. at the time, nearly blind. She was a special hound. Go hunting, get struck, a good open mouth track dog, very nice tree dog. She was all business. I really liked her. Everyone I ever talked with that had hunted with Hattie felt the same about her. I believe i'd like to have something line bred on Hattie. She is the kinda dog most strive for.

thanks for the info! I just bred a litter that will be line bred on Hattie and was just curious as to what kind of hound she was when she was alive.

On Big Red's side (owned by Wade Kuhns) Hattie was bred to GRNTCH GRCH Parker's Reverend Red. On my female Pebble's side she was bred to GRNTCH Sandy Creek Jake.

One of the most well rounded females of her breed IMO.

Hopefully she'll impact your litter out of Red and Pebble Cory.

knew her pretty well as a younger hound.

She came down here from Joe as a little pup becuase Mike liked her black muzzle. He ended up selling or giving her to one of his long time coonhunting buddies down here named Randy Bowls. She won her first PKC hunt for Randy at 9 months old. Fireball II was known for throwing tree dogs and she sure was. Mike got her back after she was going well from his friend and hunted her from there. Was a little fast on the trigger as a younger hound so if you had a hound that looked up and checked much she'd slam treed. From talking with Bo and others that owned her later she grew out of that later but would still slam a tree quick but with the meat. As a younger hound she was slower on colder tracks but there again as time went on got better on that too. A very smart hound that was a little quirky but most of the really smart ones I have had and seen were much the same. At times they can truely amaze you in the brain power dept. There again another of those really nice Fireball bred hounds that proved what she was and is the reason I have some of that down here myself. Of course ol Jake was sure a nice hound too. That dude flat covered some ground when I seen him go as a younger hound. Sure wish I would have had the cash to buy half of him when it was offered to me back then. Good luck with those pups looks like they should be some good ones.
