how about some suggestions for making the most of hunting off atv's .i'm sure i'm not the only one who is going to be hunting off them..or is already useing them. i was thinking of getting one of those gts things to find my way back out of bad spots .what else would be useful for this type of coonhunting?

I hunt off a 84 Honda 200E 3 wheeler. Dog box on back with straps. Love it.

I use a Garmin etrex for the spots Im not familiar with. Love it.

i have a honda 3 wheeler .the seat and tank say 84 200x on them .the cycle shop says the motor was from different bike because a mount was cut off, so it would fit this frame.they redone the motor,bore job/new piston/valves ect.full overhaul.
i didn't want to have trouble in the woods .i saw a rack on the jcwhitney internet site for the atv's.was thinking about getting one of them .

Was going to buy something along the lines of a gator or polaris ranger but instead saw a club car that caught my eye. It aint by no means a regular golf cart, it is lifted about 12 inches with ATV wheels and stryker tires on it. Had the basket and bag straps taken off and a custom made diamond plate dump bed that is 4'x4' with 12" sides. Me and a friend can hunt together comfortably and have a fullsize dogbox for their comfort also. With the nice size bed it also works great for hauling them whitetails out too. I can go anywhere a two wheel drive ranger, mule, or gator can go just not as fast...but it cost less than half what one of them would too. I even have a vinyl cab for it and a small ceramic heater that will fleat burn you up in the winter. Just pop off the cab in the summer to stay cool. It has also save me money on gas running around in my truck. Also a few has laughed at me when I tell them about it but when they actually saw it they are now checking in on buying one also. Its a prett neat and cheap get-up.

I hunt off a Kawasaki Prairie 650, with an extra-large dog crate strapped on the back. Still enough room for 2 people on the seat. I use a Garmin eTrex Vista for finding it when I have to leave it on a crooked levee or loggin road. I also use a strobe flasher on occassion when it's really thick.

i dont have one of those gps's yet but think it would be handy.i think i'll put that big fat boat compass on my 3wheeler that i got for xmass several yrs ago.

skinner's 3wheeler setup is like josh's,i may have to put counter weights on the front of my 3wheeler to keep it from climbing in the air with the xtra power from the overhaul and my 240lbs +2dogs.lol.. may have to tie dogs to back and walk them out to level ground..lol

hey josh ,how do you load pictures on here?? got some cash bred pups to show off.

my show ch. male walker ,joe will be struck in 3-5minutes 8 out of 10 drops if there are any coon moving .and you can put the stopwatch on him .if he leaves and don't bark and checks back in half hour ,.it time to move .he covers a lot of ground in a short time and if turned back in again your going for a long walk.

We call this fat boy hunting...I hunt off a 450 foreman and my wife has a rancher.....its the best for summer time hunting....a buddy places a strobe light on his dog box....Easy to find...I us a megellan 315 so far so good.....

i sure hope Skinner ain't too big of a man, lol. I believe i would find something a little bigger. What year is that skinner, my uncle has a 86 that is like brand new still, nice bikes but really too small and i like reverse.

tyler ,i'm 240 lbs 6'2" and i have one like it. a 1984 200x and that little space in frount of his box is where you have to sit when you go to turn or you will flip it if you're going very fast.i'm just learning to ride one and when you sit all the way back on the seat like your out for a sunday ride.you will get into trouble.you got to ride one of these things with your knees around the tank like on a horse with your knees around under the frount of the saddle.like a horse trained to steer with your knees..hope this helps you understand these things .

hotshoting one of these 3wheelers will get you hurt if you don't learn to ride one properly.
