This is Banger

He was out of flop and bang. My favorite dog. Trained a lot of pups with this dog. Bawl on track chop on tree and good about having the coon. I'd take another one just like him in a minute.

How was his nose and how deep did he hunt? Very nice looking hound. I just bred a female with this bloodline on her top side.

Thanks for the kind words folks.

Banger hunted out as far as he needed to. He would hunt with other dogs or by himself just fine. He had a good nose hot or cold track he would finish it. He took tracks as they came. Some just took longer to finish than others. He was a smart hound with a good handle on him. You didn't have to shoot every coon out you treed. He liked to be rubbed behind the ears and then go get another one. He didn't miss very often. He was a big dog. 88lbs in tuned up hunting shape. He was an awesome pup trainer. He would go out and come back a couple times to get the pups to go with him. Once he even struck a track and came back one more time for the pups. When they didn't go he lined it out and had a coon at the end. I have witnesses to that as they weren't my pups we were trying to start that night. Wish I would have bred him or had him collected. He sure was a pleasure to hunt.

Might have trouble locating many more out of this cross. I don't know how many times the cross was made, but it was around 16 yrs ago that my dog was produced.

I don't know about once in a life time, but he was pretty good. I'd take another just like him for sure.

Here is the cross I just made

I currently have 5 hounds in my kennel with Mack's old Flop and Bang in their pedigrees.

Here is GRCH NITECH'PR' RANSOM'S BAM's Pedigree

Here is 'PR' PLAIN ENGLISH'S LAKELAND BLUE GYPSY's Pedigree

The other 4 are out of R.I.P. NITECH GRCH 'PR' MADDY GEES ROOFUS. I planned on crossing Roofus and Gypsy. He passed away December 31, 2012 at a very young age of 6 but at least I have 4 pups out of him.
